About
Product manager for teams that are trying to change something.
I work at the front of the process, where the decision about what to build has not been made yet and research is the only way to make it well. Design, editorial, and go-to-market are range I bring to that work, not identities. The identity is product manager.
Background
I have spent the last several years building products for organizations trying to do something meaningful. Mental health support, education, community, and AI used responsibly in real businesses.
My path has not been linear. I did not arrive at product management through a title. I raised my hand at 57Blocks, asked to do the work, was given a raise and a new role, and learned it on the job. I have owned strategy, design, editorial, research, and launch at the same time, usually with no playbook and no budget for a big team. That breadth is the feature.
What I care about most is the moment an undefined problem becomes a real thing someone can use. Getting there means being clear about the problem and honest about the market the product has to survive in. I spend real time on where the incumbents already failed, because most new products are old mistakes behind a nicer interface, and knowing what has already been tried is what makes a differentiation claim worth anything.
The path
Non-linear by design
Three eras of product work across mission-aligned orgs, each one zero-to-one ownership with a different context.
57Blocks
2019 to 2021
Joined a product studio, and after raising my hand to move into product management I was given a raise and a new role. I took PM ownership across several simultaneous engagements, including the MHACC suicide-prevention and caregiver apps, Pure Joy (a consumer wellness app, live on the App Store), Beyond the Fork, Hiretual, and Joyhub. I led cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and testers across concurrent engagements, and learned zero-to-one on the job with no playbook.
Independent Work
2021 to 2025
Project-based work across product, operations, and creative production, including a tutoring platform in education, consulting for early-stage startups on operations and sales strategy, production work on independent film, and estate and property management. Range, not a straight line.
Fusion
2025 to 2026
First marketing and editorial hire at an early-stage AI company, as it pivoted from a consumer tool to an enterprise platform to a consulting practice. I owned go-to-market across all three. The founder built the platform. What I owned on the product side was narrower and worth naming honestly, the ICPs for both practices, the internal research workflow I built and used, and the call to kill a lead-magnet that did not hold up.
Point of view
"Most of what I have shipped was for organizations that could not afford to be wrong. A county funder, a clinical client, a compliance officer. In that world the constraint is not a tax on the product, it is the product. Build to it early and you ship. Retrofit it later and you do not."
